Executive Summary
A virtual assistant daily end-of-day (EOD) report should communicate what was completed, what is in progress, what is blocked, relevant metrics, next priorities, and what decisions are needed — briefly. The DONE → DOING → BLOCKED → NEXT framework keeps reports short and useful. A good EOD report should reduce management effort, not create more administrative work. This guide includes a copy-ready template and example reports for general admin, sales/CRM, customer service, and GoHighLevel VAs.
What Should a VA Daily Report Include?
A useful EOD report gives the manager enough visibility to know the work is moving and where to intervene — without reading a novel.
For the management context, see our VA management guide and the onboarding guide.
The DONE → DOING → BLOCKED → NEXT Framework
DONE
What was finished today.
DOING
What remains underway.
BLOCKED
What cannot proceed and why.

Keep Reports Short
A useful report should reduce management effort, not create more administrative work. If a report takes the VA 30 minutes to write and you 30 minutes to read, it is too long. Aim for a report that takes 5 minutes to write and 2 minutes to scan.
